It struck me that the best way to create an awareness about it would be through the consumers themselves, by having a festival, which allows the consumers to express themselves creatively through Writing, painting, acting, storytelling and more. We’ve had an excellent jury on board, who were very happy to be a part of this. I would also like to thank everyone else who made this happen. We have decided to take this further next year and no date is better than the 2nd of October, which coincides with the Gandhi Jayanti”, she said.

CA Vishnu Agarwal, Chairman of the WIRC, of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, audited the final scores. Abbas Ahmed Syed and Faraz Ali’s thrilling short film, “Ludo’s Dice”, which spoke about Women’s Safety in India was declared the Best Short Film. Mohammed Hatim Sadriwala’s “Address”, which hilariously depicted the hygiene scenario in India through a fantastic conversation, was awarded the 2nd prize.

Mr. Adi Godrej added that, “Council For Fair Business has played a remarkable role in encouraging Indian business to gain the Trust of all stakeholders. I appreciate the initiative taken by President Kalpana Munshi in the interest of young and senior consumers by organising this amazing consumer film festival involving the film fraternity, the media school, college students and NGOs who got the opportunity to display their skills in writing, acting and painting on consumer topics.”

Rajashree Birla Says:
“Consumer focus is becoming, even more important in today’s world of social media, digital technologies and global connect. Consumers gravitate towards organizations, that follow best business practices, provide good governance, and communicate transparently.  Research after research indicates that investors too, are more than willing to pay a substantial premium for good governance.  It is wonderful to see that the CFBP has been constantly championing these principles.  For the primacy that the consumer is accorded today, much credit must go to the CFBP.  Great work is being done by the CFBP, and with more power to their elbow, consumerism will reach higher peaks”.
